This policy explains important information relating to event participation, Talent Pool membership, sponsorships, payments, refunds and general service disclaimers for Diaspora Career Connect.
By purchasing, registering or using our services, you agree to this policy.
Diaspora Career Connect facilitates networking, recruitment opportunities and professional connections between candidates, employers and sponsors.
We do not guarantee:
Participation in our programmes does not guarantee any specific outcome.
Diaspora Career Connect acts solely as a facilitator between candidates and employers.
Employment decisions remain entirely at the discretion of participating employers.
We do not make hiring decisions on behalf of employers and cannot guarantee that any candidate will be shortlisted or employed.
Candidates are solely responsible for the information submitted through their profiles.
We do not verify every qualification, certification or employment record provided by candidates.
Employers are responsible for conducting their own recruitment and background verification processes.
Employers are responsible for ensuring that job opportunities, recruitment practices and employment offers comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Diaspora Career Connect accepts no responsibility for employment relationships formed through the platform.
Sponsor visibility, branding opportunities and promotional benefits are delivered in accordance with the selected sponsorship package.
Certain benefits may be adjusted where necessary due to venue requirements, operational considerations or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We reserve the right to:
Where possible, registered participants will be notified promptly.
Payments for Talent Pool membership, sponsorship packages or other paid services are securely processed through approved payment providers.
Prices displayed on the website are subject to change until payment has been completed.
Event registration fees, Talent Pool membership fees and sponsorship payments are generally non refundable once payment has been successfully processed.
Refunds may only be considered where:
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method wherever possible.
If Diaspora Career Connect cancels an event entirely and no alternative date is provided, registered participants may be eligible for a refund of applicable event registration fees.
This does not include travel expenses, accommodation costs, visa fees or other personal expenses incurred by attendees.
Where permitted, registrations may be transferred to another eligible participant before the published registration deadline.
Any transfer requests must be submitted in writing and approved by Diaspora Career Connect.
Diaspora Career Connect shall not be liable for delays, cancellations or disruptions resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Diaspora Career Connect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from participation in our events or use of our platform.
